How To Stop Being
So Lazy!
Need to get whatever it is
out of the way? You could make the time, but you
don’t. You know what to do, so that’s not the issue.
You’d definitely feel way better if you got off your
butt—but, but, but . . . . somehow you can’t quite
get around to it. You don’t feel up for it, not
quite ready—not today, at least. Tomorrow (and
tomorrow and tomorrow) seems better.
Does any of that seem a little familiar? If you are
like most of us, the answer is, “OMG, Yes!”
If you’d like to learn some rational ways to think
about and tackle self-defeating laziness, then check
out this meetup. We focus on a problem-solving
method, REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy),
which our organizer, Emmett Velten, has published
about and practiced for 45 years as a psychotherapy
and self-help system.
In addition to the opportunity to learn valuable new
skills, our Rational Living monthly seminar and
discussion group puts you in contact with
like-minded people who want to improve their lives
through rational thinking.
If a practical approach appeals to you, then come on
down! You might get some ideas that work for you,
just as they work for us.
